Is the first device to use Symbian’s EPOC Release 6 (ER6). ER6 is based on Psion’s EPOC operating system, a very solid and proven multitasking operating system that handles demanding applications with ease. Symbian, a joint venture between Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Matsushita (Panasonic) and Psion, has taken Psion’s technology and further developed it for the wireless information device market. ER6 is thus the first platform that offers seamless integration between PDA functionality, and voice and data communications, in a truly wireless manner.

Simplify your daily life

You can make calls, look up names and numbers, customise and set profiles, speed dial and manage network services. You can access you recent calls and create new contacts by using any number in the log. For the more serious user, the Telephone application allows you to make and manage conference calls if you have subscribed to this service. You can join a conference, add or drop participants, and you can even speak to only one participant without the others hearing the conversation.

But that list of applications doesn't tell you what all this means in your daily life. You have all your addresses, phone numbers and calendar notes in your pocket instead of in your desk drawer. And if you get an idea, you can act on it immediately - check an Internet site, send e-mail, or simply make a call - using hands-free if you wish.

Full colour

The Active matrix 4096 colour screen is stunningly sharp and offers a very high definition picture. So you can view presentation slides in full colour. Download Web pages with frames and Java. Write and send Word and spreadsheet documents. View video clips downloaded from the Internet or received as an attachment in e-mail.

Others

The 9210 is fully loaded with business and personal productivity tools, and even more games than on a standard Psion. And given the straightforward portability of applications between previous versions of EPOC and ER6 you will need this program for that.
